Host Family Guidelines
Host families are the heart of Freedom Foster. You provide young adults an authentic window into New Hampshire life and help them evaluate relocating for freedom.
1. Host Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, welcoming home for 2–4 weeks
- Facilitate Live, Work, Learn, and Play experiences
- Maintain open communication with participants and staff
- Report concerns immediately to the coordinator
2. Screening & Safety
All host families complete background checks, references, home review, and values alignment conversations before matching.
Host families are not legal guardians. For participants under 18, parents/guardians remain legally responsible.
3. Financial & Logistics
Hosting is volunteer-based. Participants arrange travel to New Hampshire. A hosting agreement is signed before each stay.
